SCADAS ES
The New Generation of Mechanical Testing
With SCADAS ES, Siemens is expanding the Simcenter portfolio with a new generation of data acquisition hardware for mechanical testing. The system is designed for applications in the automotive, rail, aerospace, mechanical engineering, and energy industries, and is intended for use in laboratories, on test benches, and in the field.
In addition to further improved signal quality and free on-board software, the new modular design—which has already proven itself in the SCADAS RS—enables a quantum leap in flexibility.
More Flexible Growth
When purchasing a new system, you buy only the modules you actually need, without any spare slots. As your needs grow, simply add more modules and expand your existing system step by step.
Make Better Use of Existing Resources
Thanks to the freely combinable modules, you can tailor your test hardware precisely to your current needs. With multiple Power Network Interfaces, you can split stacks and use them in parallel—which increases utilization and reduces costs.
Clear Test Setup
The modular design allows you to place measurement hardware closer to the measurement points. This shortens cable runs, reduces the amount of wiring required, and makes your setups more organized.
Free On-Board Software
The license-free on-board software Simcenter SCADAS Go comes preinstalled on the hardware. You can test sensors, verify assemblies, and perform basic measurements directly using SCADAS ES—without having to install or license any additional measurement software.
More Efficient Collaboration During the Trial Period
Measurement data is automatically transferred from the field and test benches to the office via remote and upload functions (“Test Connect”). SCADAS ES is browser-based, allowing multiple users to access the same system and the same data sets simultaneously—this reduces coordination efforts, shortens feedback loops, and lowers the risk of repeat testing.
Modernizing Existing Setups Step by Step
Since the conditioning units are technically based on Simcenter SCADAS Mobile/Lab and support existing connector designs, you can continue to use your existing sensors and cabling. This allows you to gradually migrate older SCADAS systems to SCADAS ES without having to replace your current setups all at once.
The conditioning units are based on the measurement cards used in the SCADAS Mobile and Lab systems. This means that variants are available for voltage, bridge, charge, pulse/DAC, and digital signals (e.g., CAN/CAN-FD), allowing existing sensors to continue to be used.
The hardware can be used as a front end for Simcenter Testlab or operated independently with Simcenter SCADAS Go. Using the open Test-Connect interface, you can integrate SCADAS ES into existing test stands and data analysis tools and, if needed, combine it with components from other manufacturers.
